Small satellite technology goes beyond simple miniaturization.  Miniaturizing conventional satellite architectures will not work because of the limited size, mass and power. A radically new system architecture, such as the proposed multifunctional architecture is needed to fully and efficiently exploit the capabilities of advanced MEMS and Nano Technologies. CANEUS NPS benefits significantly from having the backing of the CANEUS organization and through it, the international support of several major aerospace corporations and agencies across CANEUS member countries in North America, Europe and Asia. The in-space validation of new technologies will be the first focus of the CANEUS NPS while it establishes itself as a unique organization providing rapid, low cost access to space.
