Technical Problem and Solution

CANEUS NPS’ business model is set up to offer two types of innovative space mission services: (a.) Nanosatellite-based missions and (b.) Picosatellite-based missions. Projected estimates for end-to-end (Mission Design-to-End-of-Life) costs for these missions are $4M (Nanosatellite missions) and $2M (Picosatellite missions) respectively, with launch centers of six months or less. In addition to providing solutions for rapid, low-cost, in-space validation of new technologies, the proposed breakthrough technology on Nano and Pico Satellites can impact a large array of space applications. For instance, the development of standardized Nano and Pico Satellites make possible Launch or Maneuver on Demand, an area of great interest in military space applications. Further future extension of this technology includes special purpose Nano and Pico Satellites for constellation and inspection Satellite Missions.

According to the Satellite Industry Association, the industry earns over 60% of its revenue from services, a proportion that has increased from about 40% ten years ago. NPS will represent one of the first companies to create a new paradigm in satellite services.
