The Business Aspects and Teaming session will allow a panel of experts to address financial and management aspects of the proposed consortium projects, in terms of guiding project development in the context of end-user requirements, proposed teaming relationships and corresponding core competencies, the intellectual property portfolio, funding schemes with reference to European framework programs (FP7), and opportunities from within the European defence community, NASA and elsewhere. Following these business aspects, each group will have the opportunity to develop their teaming and implementation plan.

Materials & Sensors 3: Project Implementation Plan

Friday, 10:30-12:30

This session will help project teams to discuss the detailed roadmap to product development for the proposed nano materials and sensors related projects concepts, e.g. the work-breakdown-structure; key milestones to be achieved for a 12 to 18 months development schedule; detailed aspects of the design, fabrication, assembly and testing; required infrastructure; and potential technical/management pitfalls that could impact the overall budget and schedule. Based on this selection individual business cases will be developed around the promising concept areas.

Project Reports and Deliverables

In this common session, each Concept Workshop Coordinators will preset the salient aspects of his or her business plan and any key issues that remain to be addressed. Both groups will come together and team leaders will present their project reports along with projections of future deliverables. The Coordinators will speculate on the near term and far term activities required for advancing the consortia project for product / system development.
