Ms. Severine Lapage wins first CANEUS Outstanding Student Award for MNT for Aerospace

CANEUS congratulates Ms. Severine Lapage, first winner of the CANEUS Outstanding Student Award for MNT for Aerospace. Ms. Lapage received the Award for her exceptional work in the theoretical study and the development of a finite element method for the evaluation of thermoelastic damping in Vibrating MEMS or NEMS.

Ms. Lapage accepted the Outstanding Student Award at the Gala Dinner of the CANEUS 2006 Conference in Toulouse, France, on the evening of August 30th, 2006. She received a trophy, and a cheque for $1,000 to be put towards her ground-breaking research.

CANEUS is very proud to support such pivotal work being conducted by ambitious and innovative students who can serve as an inspiration to our community. The Visionary Awards aim to recognize these talents and accomplishments, which are very synergistic with the overall CANEUS mission.
