Bruno Foucher

Bruno FOUCHER is Research Engineer with 25 years experience in microelectronics research, manufacturing and reliability. He graduated from INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) in Rennes (France) in 1981, with a Master degree in Physical Sciences. The same year, he passed the DEA (Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies) in Metallurgical Sciences. From 1982 to 1989, he worked within Philips Semiconductor organisation both in France and in the Nat.Lab. in the Netherlands where he was successively in charge of semiconductor manufacturing, defect analysis, process development and process electrical characterisation for bipolar processes. From 1989 to 1997, he worked with Aerospatiale Missiles in charge of purchasing marketing for discrete components, optoelectronics as well as components policy (e.g. COTS use in military applications). Since 1997, he is with EADS Corporate Research Centre in Suresnes, France, working on electronic component and board reliability. Recent research has focused on two related topics: use of Physics of Failure at board level as well as Health and Usage Management Systems. He has authored or co-authored several papers on microelectronics reliability. He has been named an EADS Expert in Electronics in 2006.
