George N. Grammas is a partner in the Washington, DC office of the international law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P., a firm of over 800 lawyers in 30 offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Grammas’ practice focuses on export controls, technology transfer, government approvals and clearances and non-U.S. participation in the U.S. defense and homeland security industrial base. He assists clients with complex cross-border technology transfer transactions, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, and advises clients in obtaining the requisite US government approvals and clearances required for such activities.

Mr. Grammas has served as an advisor to industry associations and the U.S. Government for over 15 years, including as: (i) an industry adviser to the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs through the Defense Trade Advisory Group; (ii) Co-Chair of the Joint Defense Trade Committee of Electronic Industries Alliance and the Aerospace Industries Association; (iii) international trade counsel to the Electronic Industries Alliance; and (iv) legal advisor to the Society for International Affairs, the government/industry association on defense trade and export controls.
